When we think about Montessori, it generally is a big sexy activity or accomplishment that makes headlines. What we also need to remember, is Montessori is in every day at Windsong, in every activity and every interaction. Ruth loves doing puzzles, she hasn’t done one in years and her family said that she wouldn’t do them again. After a few weeks of living at Windsong and being encouraged, given the tools to succeed, and also being told regularly that she can do anything.. she has started doing puzzles again. These are the victories that don’t make headlines, but that change lives.
