Engagement comes in many forms from every single employee and resident at WindSong! Alix is part of our Housekeeping team and he is never too busy to engage with our Residents! Tip: Ask the person with dementia! They will often tell you what they like or want to do…or they will show you. Then, observe, watch when they FEEL successful and repeat. When people (not just those with dementia) feel confident, their self esteem increases and they are more open to trying new things. Please do not underestimate these humans!
